Yeah my thoughts until I thought what the game devs may be able to do with them in the future to make things more interactive. Plus Batman VR is apparently so much better with them !!

Kotaku can be a bunch of w@n*ers but in general they say it like it is and the below link leads to what appears to be an honest no holds barred review. kotaku.com/playstation-vr-the-kotaku-review-1787424830I’m about to fall on the wait and see side of the fence, I could probably make a profit selling it on, then again there could be several 1000 others on the fence like me who are also planning do the same thus diluting the market somewhat. I’ve a few days to think about it but I think I’ve made up my mind to wait a while to see how it goes.

Question - has anybody considered Oculus Rift? £550 as an alternative way into VR? Probably many a reason not to, might need a super computer to run it.

I don't have a machine that could remotely run a Rift, so a non starter for me.
Have been watching 'GO 8 bit' on Dave and loved the VR archery game on the Hive. Would love something like that on the PSVR. There is a monkey banana game with archery, but it doesn't look as good.

Aye I have been keeping a beady eye on them... most negative reviews have slated vr in general the odd concern about tracking but alot saying that it didn't happen at home and it was the studio lights....

I think the biggest problem is going to be games. Doesn't look as though there'll be any reviews before launch, and I'm predicting the flashy hat will be a hit, but within 2 days peeps will be asking for games. DriveClub is an okay racer that will gain from the extra dimension; Eve Valkyrie, which is already out on PC, is weighted towards pvp, because the solo mode appears to consist of waves of enemies with no game attached. It does look gaspworthy, I'll admit, especially launching doon a tube into space for the first time, but there doesn't appear to be a game in there. The latest launch trailer actually does manage to make it look shit. Battlezone, which looks the best bet for a launch hit, does look fun, but I suspect the gameplay is going to be very limited and not worthy of a full price. Can't see anything else that's appealing. That London Heist thing looks terrible. Rigs will have you all technicolor yawning.
When I do go for it, I won't be waving arms about to move things on screen. I won't be standing up dressing like a bat. I'll be sitting down comfortably, playing the 'good vr' games - just a turn of the head. That'll do, pig.
A promising system let down by shit software, is my prediction, just as 3D doesn't make a crap film good. But the games will sell because there won't be any choice for early adopters.

The latest review embargo is lifted tomorrow, so more reviews will be out then, the PS EU Blog has a list of all launch day games.
