I love my VR headset, and it is life getting in the way of me playing it more. One problem I am facing which will be limiting my usage is my neck.
When I was a kid, I had an accident on a sledge with my cousin and have had problems with my neck ever since. These are problems that come, hang around for a few weeks, gets better and I may not get it for a few years. It was made worse when my kids were younger, as putting them on my shoulders was fine at first, as they got older it affected me more. I had a car accident a couple of years ago (rear ended) and it brought it out, so I'm guessing it is a kind of whiplash (full disclosure I didn't claim whiplash as I knew it was an existing problem).
However, I seem to be getting these issues again and I can only assume it is the extra weight on my head from the VR headset. The headset isn't that heavy, this is a weakness with me. Fingers crossed it goes, but I should probably limit my gaming with it until it goes.
Still up for the weekends EVE: Valkyrie gaming.

I have a similar problem with my upper spine and can't sit upright for prolonged periods, I have been given exercises to strengthen it which I do when it gets worse and these definitely help the situation, i would think its not just the extra weight but the fact you are probably jerking your head side to side, up and down more in instinct within the games that is making it worse.
The other thing I have tried which a lot of people say is just a fad is acupuncture, it has done wonders for my back and was even recommended by my consultant! it might help you?

it may not be the weight more than the extra activity you are actualy putting you neck through. if you think about it usually gaming is an easy staionary pursuit if punctiated with expletives. however gaming with vr is a much more physical pursuit. as i recall flying a heavy is especially hard on your neck as your main guns are vision aimed.

Edd, that's an extraordinarily well thought out advance excuse for getting trounced in multiplayer matches. Top marks to you!

Might be worth considering one of these: Pro gaming collarThey inflate so they're very light, and offer good support while still allowing head movement. Plus they're blue so match the lights on the magic hat.

What's £15 when your neck is at stake? Edd needs that to keep his head on.
Plus if he feels the need to lick his arse, it'll stop him.

This is me gaming I'll still be online playing, but during other times I may have to give it a bit of a rest. I still want to play Hitman anyway. Awesome game. Pig: I'm surprised you haven't tried it as it is a single player game, and there is so much content.

And a cone is the wrong sort of collar for you. It'll stop you licking your testicles but offers no support. Get a buster, you won't even know you're wearing it. Our cat had one on for weeks and he thought it was great.

I meant Hitman. You should give that a go. All single player, you get to kill people in all sorts of weird and creative ways, sounds like it should be right up your street.
Granted, it could be a bus man's holiday for you. I don't know what you do when not online!

It goes something like -
"Oh Blackadder you jest it’s the height of fashion"
And in replay
"Percy you look like a bird that’s swallowed a plate"

Edd, I've got too many things to play all at once already. I bought the Xbox to play Elite and I've hardly looked at it, partly because I also bought Forza Horizon 3 which is hard to pull yerself away from. I've got Tomb Raider barely started, and I'm once again enjoying doing Destiny patrolling. And all that is before the new magic hat arrives. Last thing I want is something else on the pile!

Does anybody else's tracking drift off to the left? After a few minutes I find I have to turn my head to the left just to look ahead. Holding the options button down to reset doesn't seem to do much. I also get foggy lenses for a few mins after first use. Anyone else get these? This didn't happen with the first unit. Quite a few units seem to have the drifting problem.

I've had it once. I think I closed the curtains and restated and it all started working. Think it was with RIGS.
Been having difficulties with 'Rush of Blood' with jittery arms. That had been my worst game for jumping about

I had some jitter with batman and realised I had an up lighter just in the peripheral vision of the camera that I had on albeit dimmed and also a picture behind where I was sitting that was reflecting some light from the move's, I turned the lamp off and removed the picture and it went away.
