Shoot outs look great in first person view, lot of detail gone into this from what I've seen on twitch.

Haven't read it all, score of 9. Just a shame I'm working, off for 2 days tomorrow though.

I wouldn't trust that gamespot review. He knocked off half a point for him not being able to drive in first person. The majority of the reviews are giving it the thumbs up.
I'm waiting on the postie to deliver mine. I'll give my opinion on the first person later on once I've given it a go. Apparently you can set it up how you want it to play. You can have it first person when your shooting and it auto changes to third person when your driving or vice versa. Lots of tweaking options.

I played the online with Steviechowmain last night in first person and the experience is just as I remember it from the PS3 but greatly enhanced. The graphics are amazing. Greater draw distance and a settable field of view.
Once you have your first person look and aim sensitivity set to your liking it feels like your in the characters shoes.
Driving for me in first person is so natural that putting it back to third person makes me crash into everything. Gunplay is also great in first person. It's so intuitive to shoot a gun that way. The only negative is when you get into cover. The cover blocks too much and enemies can get you from behind. Luckily you can set it to third person when you use cover.

The jury is out for me, I need to have a play with the control set up, my biggest annoyance is I keep clicking the left stick putting me in a stupid creepy walk. And I remember people complaining about the driving physics on the 360, and I was like its fine there’s nothing wrong with it learn to drive. But last night I couldn’t drive anywhere without bouncing off walls and rolling the car no matter what view I used. On a plus side character transfer worked.

Wow this has probably the most customiseble set of control options I've seen outside of a pc game, and nudging the sensativety down a notch has cured my driving problems. GE crew here I come.

Know what you mean about the creepy walk lol the amount of times I've done that in the first mission would of been laughable had I bothered to stream the first mission.

All sorted now though, there is an option for regular fps controls. I now press left stick to run.
