You can finally upload to YouTube which will be more handy than copying it to a flash drive and uploading from a computer. Share play is interesting. Can someone help you do that crazy drinking game in Watchdogs?

Can someone help you do that crazy drinking game in Watchdogs? I’ve a confession about that drinking game, I bribed my son to finish it, and he got them all first go, I was very proud it was a touching father & son moment. And as for Share play, I'll be paying Flur to do my Driveclub timed challenges for me.

Sony go from laughable to 'so bad it's not funny' in my book with this firmware update. If I now go into rest mode, as stand-by is now called, the console won't boot up - just sits there looking like what it is, a stupid lump of black plastic with a pulsing orange light. I have to pull the plug at the socket, which then leads to the console booting in safe mode.
I'm getting nostalgic for Xbox live.

Oh great, I‘ve got that to look forward to as I noticed mine was pulsing orange this morning.

I sometimes wake up like that. At your age I’d assume that’s gout. Anyhow’s looks like a lot of PS4’s are screwed after the update with the pulsing orange light, apparently don’t pull the plug, According to SONY support, hold the power button for over a minute till it beeped and then go into safe mode and reinstall the update. Some people are reporting they had to do this more than once before it functioned correctly. As you said this isn’t funny anymore, Sony should know us gamers are a fickle bunch, all their hard work to rebuild there reputation can be undone faster than a tory switches to ukip.

Some people are saying rebuild the database from safe mode cures it, but the best bet is to switch completely off and not put it in standby/rest mode until it's patched.

Ah, this is what I got yesterday. I ended up holding down the power button as on resumption after sleeping it never came back. It then took an age to rebuild the db etc.
Granted i couldn't do anything last night as psn was down again, and my TV has broken.
I think the solder on the display has dried out, so for a while now it may take 30 minutes to warm up, but yesterday it never fixed itself. The TV is only 6 years old too, so not that happy. Hopefully the new one will arrive in the next couple of days.

I had the orange pulsing light of doom happen to me. I will be powering off fully now until it's fixed.
