So that's what we were doing wrong last night. Doh
From what I've read of that reddit post
1. We should stick together and capture control points together. 2. Neutralise a point and wait for your team mates before capturing the point. 3. As a team get more kills than they do. 4. Try to get the heavy ammo before they do.

Really enjoyed iron banner. I managed to get the hmg to drop for me and re-rolled it for arc. I bought two sets of hunter armour so will have two level 29 hunters who need either a raid helmet or chest piece to hit 30!
I bought the fusion rifle and again re-rolled it for arc damage and a few other good perks.
That tempered buff was very handy and hopefully they implement it in the future versions. The medallions for a loss as well were a stroke of genius

I loved the Iron Banner and spent most of my play time levelling up. Managed to buy one of everything, gloves and boots for pvp and another set for pve (different weapons for perks), two fusion rifles (one tempered for fusion), scout rifle, gold spiral shader, a banner, a sweatband and two very square eyes. Only problem was the glimmer, I ran out and had to farm like crazy before he closed up shop and disappeared. I stopped playing once I reached level 5 on Sunday afternoon, so maybe if they implemented a reduction in cost if you level up further, playing Iron Banner is a lot more fun than killing Hive and Vex ultras for glimmer.

I am so glad the Iron Banner is over. I managed to get three sets of boots (one for each class) and two pairs if gloves (titan and hunter) but the anguish I was feeling if my K/D ratio was below one made it quite painful to do. The PVE feels like a bit of a rest.
