So, while doing some Iron Banner over the weekend someone (I can't remember who) mentioned it is possible to see how much time you have spent playing Destiny .... Destiny Tracker
I refused to look, but eventually did, and having spent nearly 9 days playing (PvE) (plus 17 hours PvP), I can't complain about value for money, but I should probably start playing some other games, preferably that don't track my gaming habits! I've had a look at a few peoples, and I'm not that bad in comparison, but it is a scary statistic. I won't be naming anyone, but it is interesting. So I think I will be reducing my Destiny gaming and continuing with games that don't log time! To be fair, my wife and kids will have watched more TV and played more games in the same time period (since October), but it is still a very big number!

I've played for about 26 days.
Not sure all those stats are right though, apparently I got 67 kills with a weapon I used once then dismantled. And the time played in the pve summary box, which appears to be the account total, doesn't tie in with the per-character breakdown lower down (comes to 34 days as opposed to 26). Unless I misinterpret something.
If a game demands my time it gets it. I'd play something else (and I'd like to!) but quite frankly there is nothing else that is worth my time, or looks it. Most PS4 games of this past year either look like crap graphical showcases (1886, Infamous) or something that might be worth a couple of hours at best (Evolve, anything with zombies). In fact my next two (possible) purchases are either Tomb Raider (which I've completed on 360 and is the same game again) or Resident Evil (20 years old). That pretty much sums up my opinion of the current games scene.

I don't mind having spent so much time with destiny. I've had a lot of fun with it and will continue to play it while others do. I am however playing other games alongside but destiny still gets the most play time.

Pig do you ever venture on pc, lots of choice many many genres something for everyone. One possible route in my quest to play something apart from Destiny is the reactivation of my World of Warcraft account. I've played that on and off since shortly after release, so almost 10 years, and there's been a new expansion out recently. I'm getting twitchy but I'm trying to resist - I've gained quite a few gaming pals since signing up with GE, and it's a community I enjoy being a part of. If I go back to WoW you might not see me for months. You might not see that as a bad thing, of course...

You are part of the furniture now, like an old dusty faded and possibly musty smelling favorite armchair an essential part of GE long may it stay that way

its okay i found it. 300 h on PVE and 54 h on PVP i reckon there is a few that will be much higher.
Pigmagnet is right to be fair ive just not seen anything interesting enough to drag me away and it seems that way untill later on in the year.
the only 2 other games ive bothered with is The Last Of Us and Tombraider both of which i had previously finished on PS3 i think sony owes bungie a huge big thankyou letter as without Destiny my PS4 would have been a glorified Netflix player most of its life.
the finger badly needs to be pulled out

Warcraft's looking favourite right now. It suddenly hit me on Tuesday night, I think I've just had enough of Destiny. Had enough of the cock-eyed reward system, pouring hour after hour into it and getting (next to) nothing back, same old small pool of bounties day in day out, same old, same old. Of course I might miss it in a day or so, but not right now. Nothing else on the console appeals.

Well golly gosh. A purple engram from the daily just gave me a Goldiehawn. After yesterday's Hawkmoon, it's as if Bungie know it was my birthday recently. It'll be all shite from now on of course.

I would complain, purple engrams should give 2 shards or energies!
