Gauntlet is by the guys who did Magicka. I loved Gauntlet back in the day, but with Magicka a couple of months ago, and the Lara Croft game that was similar, we seem to be getting a lot of these 4 player style games. Kids love them though.

That is true my kids did like Lara and we completed the game as a family.

Very weak line up. I would have thought they'd stick a bigger title in there for Christmas. Even if it was a launch game, kill zone or knack. Or little big planet as that didn't sell too well last year

From Sonys point of view they don't need to try anymore, I wouldnt be serprised if history repeats come the next gen due to complacency again.

What rating is Gauntlet? I've looked but can't find the rating online. Looking for something to coop with my son (he's 10)

According to metacritic the game looks to be an 8/10 which is not bad. User feedback says 7.6.

It's rated 17+ for blood and gore, according to the trailer. They always allow some flexibility though, so should be fine for a lad of 10. Just tell him it's digital blood so doesn't count, just like in the fillums.

Disappointingly high, especially as my son takes after his mum and is a sensitive soul. I'll try it first, then see if its good for him. He couldn't cope with Diablo 3, so suspect this will be a no-no.

Sounds like he needs toughening up. Start him on some comedy horror films like Carry on Screaming and work up through Evil Dead, to Braindead. Chuck a bit of Tokyo Gore Police in there. He just needs to associate blood and dismemberment with fun. Then try him with Diablo 3 again, and ideally Bloodborne if you want to round of his coming of age with some good, diseased-mind, otherwordly nightmare horror.
He should be fine playing Gauntlet with his dad after that.

Had a bash at Gauntlet, got bored with it before the end of the first game and uninstalled. Add to the expanding pile of disappointing PS+ games. Just not my thing.
