VR Porn you say!!!
PREORDERED!!!
I will need to buy the camera, and I hope the move "wands" aren't required for most of the games. But I think its a very clever price point, the same as the Playstation 4 at launch (Agent_Tiro called this in a chat last night before the UK pricing was confirmed). I don't expect any of the launch titles to be 10 out of 10 masterpieces, I just hope it shifts enough units to get developers keen to work on them for the future.
Will I use it more than my Sega Menacer. I hope so!

I hope no games I want need move wands. Any games that require me to get up and spaz about just won't be bought. If I have to get up from the gaming sofa it's going back.
There'll be a ton of crap released of course - there already is, and VR won't magically make bad games better, in the same way that a shit film in 3D is still a shit film. But it opens new possibilities in game design so I'm expecting some pretty spectacular stuff... as long as movement is restricted to neck muscles and I don't have to get up from my favourite reclining position.

This don’t bode well for the move motion controllers. www.gizmag.com/playstation-vr-review-hands-on-gdc/42321/I’m with pig I don’t want to be faffing my arms about, I’ll be looking for the games that use the ds4, having said that I’ve not seen anything that sparks my interest yet.

I'm confident that most proper games will be perfectly usable with the pad, and only the gimmicky shite will require anything else.

I'm on the fence wherever to pre order or not, has anyone here actually had a go on it? Always loved the idea of VR, but worried it will turn out a piece of junk like the Kinect camera and ps camera have for me. Also do we think shortage in stock is likely ? It's a pricey piece of kit at £350. Surely it will not sell as many as the console when it was released and sell out completely on pre orders. What sort have games can this tech be applied in? Cockpit based base? Anything else?

I managed to get free tickets to Gadget Show Live so will hopefully try some of the VR out there ( PSVR not there though) my main worry is motion sickness, I get sick in the passenger seat of a car driving for 5 mins lol

What sort have games can this tech be applied in? Cockpit based base? Anything else? I'd say any game that you see from your character's viewpoint is VR-able. Driving games are the obvious one, and flight games too, as well as anything first person - so all CoD, Battlefield, Borderlands, Destiny, GTA, ESO, Halo games that are here already (don't be surprised if we're swamped by VR remasters). I mean, come on - something like Doom, getting up close and personal with those chainsaws. Football/tennis/any sport games have to be a prime candidate - hell, even as someone who loathes the game, I can see the appeal in being able to feel that I'm actually on the pitch. Third person might be a little trickier, but not every game has to have a VR element just because the tech is finally here. Upcoming, we've got the obvious No Man's Sky, that Mirror's Edge thingy for two starters. Even stuff like this which is just about heading footballs, I'd happily try this if it's a marketplace game for a fiver. Off the top of my head the only games that won't be suited to VR are third-person, board games and 2D platformers. And that's before game designers can use VR as the starting point and begin to design games that just weren't practical before. As with any new advance, it'll improve with time. I make no secret of the fact I expect my socks to be blown off by VR, applied to the right game. If I get motion sickness I'll persevere till I don't. I'm excited! I know the sets aren't cheap but I can't see how any avid gamer these days isn't excited by the potential of VR. So it's a bit more than just cockpit games. In my humblest of opinions.

There is a screen mode that lets you play or watch anything that you normally would when using the Ps4 on the telly, there are various zoom settings so apparently you can play a normal game as if you were playing on a 5 meter tv sitting up close, I'm guessing that you would need to turn your head to look left and right etc.
Porn on the web browser anyone?

In my humblest of opinions. 350 quid for potential that's what worries me. I would expect to be totally blown away for that outlay. I'll probably cave in and buy it though In hope that I will be.

I'm on the fence wherever to pre order or not, has anyone here actually had a go on it? I'm not a huge fan of Amazon (paying tax related), but for things like this, I tend to pre-order now and then you can cancel the week before if you still aren't sure and it has cost you nothing! I'd prefer to get it from Game, but they always want a deposit, and I'm never sure if they are going o be around in 6 months time. They also annoy me with the doubling of the price in-store compared to their online price.
