The Gathering the Aramzahd Empire Party has placed an open order for Centauri Mega Gin, Giant Irukama Snails, Lavian Brandy, Tanmark Tranquil Tea and Witchhaul Kobe Beef. Pilots who deliver these commodities to Norman - Mavis's Bingo Palace in the Aramzahd system will be generously rewarded. The organisation has also placed a kill order on all wanted ships operating in Aramzahd, to ensure the safety of those attending the event. The campaign begins on the 13th October 3302 and will run for one week. If the final target is met earlier than planned, the campaign will end immediately. Alliance Outpost in the California NebulaIn support of this initiative, the Alliance has placed an open order for geological equipment, hazardous-environment suits and pesticides. 160 SOAR, which is coordinating the appeal, has promised to reward pilots who deliver these commodities to Tshang City in the Furuhjelm III-674 system. The campaign begins on the 13th of October 3302 and will run for two weeks. If final targets are met earlier than planned, the campaign will end immediately.

Will try this, if I can find somewhere to source the goods. Huge rewards on the last one.

Will try this, if I can find somewhere to source the goods. Huge rewards on the last one. All of the names of the rare goods have the name of the system they can be bought. Centauri Mega Gin - Alpha Centauri Giant Irukama Snails - Irukama Lavian Brandy - Lave Tanmark Tranquil Tea - Tanmark Witchhaul Kobe Beef - Witchhaul You should start trading rare goods if you've still got your hauler. I have a route which I'll post up. You can find a list of rare goods and what station they can be bought here. www.elitedangeroustrading.com/list-of-rare-goods.aspxUse this site to find all other commodities. eddb.ioDo this route in your hauler. Go to the closest station you are and buy up all the rare goods you can and sell at the next station on the route. The farther you go the more profit you'll make but the optimum distance is about 140-160ly. Once you got enough to buy a type-6 and outfit it, do this route on this pdf. It has approximate profits of 10 million if you do all legs of the route. Its split up so its easy to follow when you can do it. Some goods might not be available sometimes but if you stay in the system for a bit they might spawn. If they don't just continue to next system. I did the whole run and got my type-7 after that. You can then trade anywhere as the type-7 can carry up to 232 tons. CC71StopRoute.pdf (325.48 KB)

I'll head over to try the triangle route, not sure how far away it is from me now though. So I'm buying any rare goods sold in that system?

You can only buy a small amount each time so a hauler is a good starter ship for rare runs. By the way its worth travelling to Mavis's bingo palace I delivered 4 tons of Tanmark tea and got into top 75%. That's paying about 1.5 mil. I also did some bounty hunting and handed in the bounties got me into top 50 worth about 5 mil+.

How do I know what is a rare item? Does it look different in the commodities list?

Made a decent 11.3 mil for some bounty hunting. A decent amount of contributors and the goal reached early.

Thanks for sharing that Austin, I did one loop, first two trips wasn't hugely profitable but the last trip down to Altair was worth 95k 😀 Had to upgrade my jump drive which the trips more than paid for it. Will do another run to work up to the type 6 which I believe is just over 1 million, once I have that I'll be after a fully decked out fighter.
Getting used to the joystick, becoming more natural now. May get Edtracker? But I don't always wear headphones, can it be stuck to the side of glasses?

Remember the further you take the rare goods the more profit you get. That picture of the route has the optimum selling places on the bottom right. The think the Ed tracker can be used on the side of your head. Its better on top of the head though. You could stick it on a headband or cap. I don't use it all the time like when I'm trading but when I'm doing some combat its really useful and immersive to naturally move your head to look around the cockpit to keep the target in your sights.

Got my Type 6 and started one of the community challenges and made my first contribution to that cause loving the game so far really takes me back to my Atari ST days. Have a fuel scoop now though not completely sure how to use it, I'm assuming you try to fly close the the star? Of course I haven't bothered to read up on the instructions 🤗
I will return to the trading route supplied just got a little side tracked.
Haven't really thought too long about all the fractions, the good guys the bad guys I've been doing a bit of graft for them all I think. Should I start picking a side?
Really is a fantastic game, does its predecessors proud.

Haven't really thought too long about all the fractions, the good guys the bad guys I've been doing a bit of graft for them all I think. Should I start picking a side? Really is a fantastic game, does its predecessors proud. Fuel scooping can be tricky as you can overheat if you get too close to the star. The technique I use is to fly under it and keep the corona of the sun just at the top of the screen. Once it starts scooping at a decent speed, throttle to zero and wait. If its starts getting hot you can then fly downwards away from the heat and turn around to scoop again once you cool down. If you have a A or B rated scoop then it will fill quicker but they do cost more but worth it as you dont hang around too long to be interdicted. Go into the galactic powers standing page and you can see who the super powers are. Currently Edmond Mahon of the Alliance are number 1 with the Federation behind them. I chose to go with the Alliance to oppose the yank dominated feds. You will be hostile to them if you enter a system that is controlled by the faction you choose and the security forces might attack you without warning. You don't have to choose a side but there are benefits if you do the power play. You can also get discounts on ships and goods etc. Power play is basically you working for them every week to get their benefits. You become their agent to help undermine or prepare systems for expansion. You earn merits to rank up but every week you lose half of those merits. So to keep your rank and benefits you have to work for those merits every week. At the moment I think power play needs tweaking though to make it more interesting. You can get some special weapons at rank 3 but you have to grind 750 merits for them. Worth doing for that then never again.
