I've like portable gaming and I've got a vita and I love it but look how that ended up. It's not getting first party games from Sony any more.
The Switch is pricey for what it is, a portable console with a dock. If they have great games that I want to play then I could consider buying one but not at the current price. There also charging for there online service and that's another expense I could do without. Maybe in a couple years the games I like will be out and the price comes down then I'll consider it.
I can see the Switch struggling for sales if the games are mediocre and the price remains high.

To anyone who has one, I highly recommend Snipperclips especially if you have a playing partner/wife/child, cooperation is essential to success so expect raised voices and tantrums in between the laughter and triumph's.
Totally original gameplay well it is to me anyway.

As this his thread is in danger of becoming my personal Switch dairy here is another instalment.
Had a Switch MarioKart weekend, I’m not a huge MK fan it never really hit that same wow factor since that first outing on the SNES, however imo this one beats all that came before despite having seen most of it on the WII U, the Switch one just plays better and has been tweaked to perfection, no matter whether its docked or mobile. We had a family session of 4 player split screen on telly (me, misses, 2 kids) that went on till 2 in the morning, THAT or anything remotely like it has never happened before. I’ve even played several hours online without incurring rage, yes as always there is an element of luck but for some reason this one seems better balanced.
Anyhow it deserves a mention on these pages, if you have or are considering a Switch add this one to your wish list.

I’m not a big switch fan, but the rest of the family have really embraced it, well when I say “it” we have 3 between us, I do have all the Nintendo big hitters but I can’t get into them I prefer the quick pick up and play indies, but Younder has scratched a gaming itch I didn’t know I had.

So I caved and bought a switch and must say I'm loving it, not been on the PS4 for a week or two seriously since I received it. I love the portability aspect of it and its great to play in short bursts, very handy for when waiting around for work. I've currently bought the big two of Zelda, Mario odyssey, and just bought Mario and Rabbids and a few indies. The one game I'm putting more time into though is Slay the Spire, its amazingly addictive. So glad I purchased one and also some great games announced at E3 The one downside is the games hold their value and are not cheap

I don't know about Slay the Spire I'll give it a look, As for holding there value I buy digital anyway I don't see the point in a portable that you also have to carry the games everywhere too, but I do wait for offers that appear more often than you'd think even with the big titles. And reading through the above posts we are now a 4 switch family the wife actually asked Santa for a switch last Christmas

I agree I try to buy digital when I can. Slay the spire is a card battler, rouge-like and very addictive. might pick up Bloodstained next week as well.
