None of the reviews have mentioned what the difference to PSVR is which is a shame. Otherwise they are all pretty standard, if you have the cash and dont own a PS4 already then its worth it.

Do let us know if it comes with a stand. That's the clincher for me.

think this sums it up
But if you already own a PS4, the choice of whether to upgrade is a tricky one. There are no system exclusives, the library is the same, and existing games will only run better if developers go back and patch them. If you own a 4K screen or are considering a purchase, the upgrade will be highly worthwhile, but what's clear is that there's little here likely to make your existing console obsolete. With an installed base rapidly approaching 50m users, that's probably a very good thing. But with that said, if you read Digital Foundry, if you appreciate image quality and performance as we do, it's really difficult to overlook the fact that there's a system out there that's better than what you have now - and if more titles follow the approach to enhancement seen in the likes of Rise of the Tomb Raider, PlayStation 4 Pro becomes an essential purchase.

I have been pretty impressed with the visuals from the base model so more likely will keep that for a year or two.

Looks Like I will take a wait and see approach on this. Interested to see how developers put the Pro support into practice and also I do not have £350 lying around the place.

I may be tempted if the pro games start to blow away the non pro versions out the water in terms of a wow effect but not right now.

I've watched all the popular reviews on Youtube and read a few website reviews. The consensus is its not worth the upgrade if you have a PS4 already. If you don't have a 4K TV with HDR you won't get the best quality out of it. There won't be any pro exclusive games that take advantage of the increased graphic power because Sony has said that developers must make their games for all PS4's. Developers are being pushed to make their games 4K compatible. Which means we'll never get stable 60fps games on the pro as its not powerful enough to do 4K 60fps or even 1080p 60fps either. I've watched digital foundry's review on skyrim remastered running at native 4K and it looks sharper even though I couldn't watch it on a 4K screen but this is a 5 year old game that isn't graphics hungry nowadays on PC. It still runs at 30fps even when you play it on a normal HD TV. It downscales the 4K image to 1080. I'm replaying it on my modest gaming laptop on my HD TV at 1080p 60fps with mods and its very smooth and nicer on the eyes. Its disappointing that they didn't patch it to have a 60fps option. The existing ps4 game library won't look better or run at higher frame rates unless they are patched to do it. Which is alot more work, effort and money for developers with no financial benefit. Will they even bother when they have new games to develop. CD Projeckt Red are one of the developers not patching The Witcher 3 for the pro as they are too busy with cyberpunk 2077. I'm personally not upgrading my console any time soon. I question the reason for this console and the only real reason Sony made this console is to sell 4K TV's and 4K streaming video. Their reason though was to stop people going to PC. Well thats had the opposite effect on me. I'm playing more games on PC recently.

This is a very simple review, if you have a 4k HDR TV then you should definitely upgrade.
