I'm on the last main mission in the second region. I've beaten big balls twice, bat bitch twice, sparky once, creepy crawly once, samurai dude twice all solo. He's the most difficult boss so far but he's optional. The bosses so far haven't given that much trouble that I would get co-op help. If your at the right level and use magic buffs and debuffs they should not be much trouble. The ones I beat twice were in the twilight missions except samurai dude. Twilight missions are harder versions of the main missions.
I've collected all kodama to give more heals. Equip an item with kodama sense and you can find them all easier.
My favourite mission so far was the spirit stone slumbers in the first region. The one with statue's. You get to co-op part of it with one of the lady npc's. Her guardian spirit doge dog is great for increased yokai damage but is better if you get the paired ones but you have to beat samurai dude.
What's your favourite mission so far?

Absolutely loving this game. The similarity to Bloodborne is obvious, but it plays so much more fluidly.

Apart from being a action rpg and using similar game mechanics its nothing like bloodborne. It's more like Onimusha than any game I've played. The game mechanics are a improvement over bloodborne and dark souls. I particularly love the 2 sets of items shortcuts, skill trees and guardian spirits. The diablo style loot drops is great but inventory management can get a bit crazy if you don't manage it.
Yes the smooth 60fps is a welcome change to the 30 you normally get on these types of games. You can choose to play in 60 or 30fps. 60 is a no brainer once you try both modes.

More fluidly?? Bloodbourn was as silky smooth as I can imagine, beyond that is the 4th dimension.

I am sorry to disagree with you mate, but I make no apologies for that.It is exactly like Bloodborne other than the setting. The lamps are shrines, you have to level up, you have to grind, you have to be patient in fights, do not get too cocky when you think you have victory in your grasp. The list is fucking endless.

Ok mate sorry I totally misunderstood. Nae worries dude. They are both great games. They have their similarities and strengths. If your having trouble in some missions I'm up for some co-op. Another thing you can't co-op a mission unless the person helping has beaten the mission already.

Well. I've just got to the end of the Tower of London and yelled 'down with this sort of thing' and leapt off the top. Nobody told me I'd be a mick running round twatting the English. But for an accident of birth I might have found this even more satisfying. If From Software had it in their minds to sue Team Ninja, they wouldn't have a leg to stand on. It may as well say 'if ya love Bloodborne ya'll love dis' on the box.
Thought for the day: if Bloodborne and this were fillums, we'd be saying 'I'm not watching that, it's just a pointless remake'. But we play it and say 'it's just like Bloodborne, it's brilliant!'
Haven't started in Japan yet though. Careful now.

But we play it and say 'it's just like Bloodborne, it's brilliant!' Haven't started in Japan yet though. Careful now. By the way for those that don't know already the guy you role play is based off a real person who became the first english samurai called William Adams from Kent. I'm not sure why they used a Irish voice actor for him though. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Adams_(sailor)Most of the Japanese characters in the game are named after real persons including another english guy which I won't mention because of spoilers. He was an alchemist and in this game he's some sort of bad ass mage. I love the mix of east and west with Japanese folklore. A tip if your just starting go for a magic build if you want a easier time on your first playthrough. Melee only combat can get you so far until your used to the stance, ki pulse and skill combo mechanics. If you think the action is too fast slow it down with the sloth talisman. It's a bit cheesy and they might nerf it but it's very useful against bosses if your having trouble. I've personally not used it yet but down the line in ng+ it might be needed for two bosses you have to fight at once.
