I use to overclock my cpu's. I wouldn't go too high though as I just had a noisy fan on it. I was always worried it would burn up and my hard earned cash was gone in a flash. Once the cpu's were getting faster I didn't bother with overclocking.
I have now gone the desktop replacement route now and got a gaming laptop so I can't do overclocking obviously though that's not going to stop me if it can be done. The gpu in my laptop is a GTX 670MX and a decent mobile gpu and it can handle every game at the highest setting but the very latest like Titanfall. So I looked into it and this gpu is overclockable so I tried it and now it runs it at 1080p smoothly and the best thing is it doesn't overheat. In my 3Dmark testing it's now faster than a desktop GTX 670. So I'm very happy with it and can use this laptop for another couple of years before changing it :-)

I don't overclock any more, I just bought a new gaming pc which is fast enough so don't need to, maybe in a few years time when it get on a bit I will.
