I realise this is a first world problem, but this week I've had two chances to game, Tuesday night, and an hour this morning as I woke up early. Both times PSN is down. I'm starting to get very frustrated with it.
Pre-PS4 when PSN+ was optional for online gaming, and the PS3 games weren't always connected, then it wasn't such a problem, but as the games I am playing at the moment are Destiny and DriveClub which only really work when online it just isn't good enough.
I realise there are more important things in life and the world, but I want to rant and the wife is asleep and won't appreciate me waking her up to moan .... am I ever going to get to level 28 on Destiny ....

I realise there are more important things in life and the world. Steady, Edd, there's no need for talk like that. Apparently Sony announced this, in America, when everyone one was asleep, about half an hour before the maintenance. It's a start though, since there's normally no notice at all. I'm confident that Sony's service will improve since they will be aware by now that PSN is seen as a bit of a joke. You have to laugh at these words from the announcement though: 'the maintenance is necessary to continue to deliver you the best online games experience'. That wacky Nippon sense of humour in all its glory! As for level 28, well it's Xur day, which for you is exotic armour day. It's a start!

I've only been playing shadow of mordor which is single player at the moment, obviously I had to download the update but didn't realise that psn had been down so often and so much. I moved over from Xbox 360 to ps4. I quickly thought that psn to be inferior to xbox live, Microsoft did to a good job on that and I've missed it since I moved away.
My guess in sony's efforts to improve some aspect of psn something else has became broken, frustrating I know especially when our time on our beloved gaming machines is limited, I'm sure they'll sort it quick sharp though.
