I am not a very good PvP player, but I have two bounties for weapons which require PvP to complete: - Depleted Hand Cannon - Get 500 points with Void weapons. You get 5 for a kill, and lose 2 for a death.
- A request from Ikora - Get +25 kill/death ratio.
This means for the hand cannon I need to average a 0.6 kill/death ratio with certain weapons. I'm I'm playing well, I probably average 0.5! I haven't a chance of getting an average of 1+. So, any tips? I read an article which says stay with your team, but any other tips? I don't really want to do much PvP, but it is a means to an end. The annoying thing is I only have a void sniper rifle, plus my power ups for my Void walker Warlock. I am therefore getting most of my kills with melee. I wish I had a shotgun too! Thanks

For thorn I would suggest getting a void shotgun/fusion rifle and machine gun - I cant remember if any of the vanguard versions have void? Or even check the weapons sold at the gunsmith for void as these are still pretty viable in pvp.
Then camp, camp, camp, camp and camp. I found it rough until i started playing control and ignored capturing points and just camping them for kills, its not cool but it worked.
*The other option is getting a group together from the clan and taking turns to shoot/punch each other in the face!!! its been discussed briefly in-game but never attempted.

I'm working on the void damage bounty as well. Luckily I have a fully upgraded void fusion rifle and just got the comedian shotgun with void from levelling up vanguard. Best thing to do is buy a close quarters weapon with void damage. Or just play strikes / weekly content till one drops. I think a lot of the raid weapons are void damage. So maybe jump in on a raid party and hope you get one of them

Void fusion rifle all the way for me
to get a high kill ratio try sitting in the gun turrets in the larger arenas once you get quite good the kill streaks build up pretty fast.
these bounties will be hard to run consecutivly if your not a massive pvp fan i would concentrate on the weapon you want most
good luck :-)

I may be the last person to find this out, but kills in PvP (when it says get X many) includes assists.
My kill / death ratio is normally about 0.6, but I'm quite good at nearly killing people before they get me. However by going around on a pair (or 3 v 3 skirmish), I was able to pick up a lot of assists meaning I got the +25 kills, and am a third of the way to the 500 point challenge.
I still don't like PvP particularly though. Too many people work now tone on their hands than I have!

A friend of mine has the Thorn bounty and is now at the next stage... Summoning Pits level 26 strike and get to wave 4 of adds at the boss to kill the named add. Let me know of you get there, we could use a 3rd btw he used void shotgun (exotic) for the PvP bit.

ugh - the pvp part of the Thorn bounty sucks... especially if like me, you arnt that good at pvp. Thankfully being a warlock the void damage counted. I found that the shotgun was better than the fusion rifle - just because the fusion rifles take so long to fire. I ran Controls - so I could camp flags The void grenade and Blast generated kills for the bounty, the energy drain (melee) didnt seem to. Assists also didnt seem to count.

I used a fusion rifle for that bounty. Running around tapping the charge button made it easier as the charge time didn't factor in as much
