You should already be able to craft a warp cell if you have the hyperdrive blueprint. Its in the craft menu. Go to a empty slot on your ship and press square.
You can't craft the warp cell without antimatter but an npc in the game gives you one so you can jump to the next system which is where you get the antimatter formula. Do a scan in space (L3) and you should get your next objective to get the antimatter formula.
A tip - go to a manufacturing facility on a planet and it should give you the suspension fluid formula. Its also how you get other recipes for crafting. When you get to the facility blow the bloody doors off ala Michael Caine:)

Well there's a few of us playing it but nobody's saying much. How y'all getting on?
So far it's exactly the game I expected, barring a couple of minor things. I had assumed pretty much everything was procedurally generated, but it's obvious that buildings and ships aren't. I haven't seen a huge variety in those so far but I don't see it as a problem. I still haven't been through many planets, in fact I'm only on my third system. I've spent quite a bit of time on two planets specifically because I've been unable to locate that last species to net me the nice discovery bonus. That's fine, the game allows you to go at your own pace, and so far I've been in no hurry. A common criticism has been 'this is all well and good but how long is it going to last' and after a few hours I can see what people mean. There's nothing wrong with repetition in games as long as you enjoy what you're repeating, and every game involves it to some degree. Although I've enjoyed everything so far, I think I'll change my initial stance from 'no hurry at all to get to middle' to 'I think I'll start heading towards it'.
I'm not disappointed: as I say, it's what I expected because it's the game Hello said it was going to be. But 18 quintillion planets is meaningless if you go through only 50 planets and they all look very similar. That hasn't happened to me, and though the last bunch of worlds I've landed on could be brothers, I'm not going to complain because I know I'll see more variety as I progress.
I've barely touched combat yet. I've died once after getting pounced by pirates upon leaving a space station, and I was relieved to find I lost nothing. You keep your money, suit inventory and ship, and can go back to pick up whatever cargo you had on you (at least that's what happens if you die in space). So I'll be going for weapon upgrades and hitting those pirates soon! There's definitely more to do than the critics make out. It's easy to adapt it to whatever mood you're in. On a world with wildlife, non-hostile atmosphere and relaxed sentinels you can tootle in a most chilled fashion. Fancy a bit of action, just shoot up into the ether and start blasting.
On a technical side I have had a few crashes (in fact 4 in about 10 hours play) but most of those were within a couple on minutes of each other so could well have been linked with server hiccups. Apparently the PC one is buggered, which of course doesn't affect us, but I do hope they get it sorted because the devs will be taking stick for it, and so far as regards the game itself I think they've delivered on their promises.
In summary - unquestionable thumbs up, and I expect there are facets to gameplay I have yet to discover, but I do hope they keep the promised updates coming. I can see this being an ongoing, long-term game; perhaps not one that after the initial few hours I'll be playing exclusively, but certainly one that I can keep coming back to. That'll do me.

ok , my thoughts after about 20 odd hours played and still only on my 2nd system, I am having a blast literally, having found numerous words, loads of tech and upgraded my suit to near max, the only thing dragging me down now is my ship, I have found two damaged ships both not any better than mine, and each one took about two hours to find!!! has anyone found any decent crashed ships or am i just being unlucky, I don't want to spend my just over a million credits on another ship with only a few more slots buying from another trader.... if you haven't already it worth getting the grenade upgrade as you can just did a hole if a storm comes in or rain ect. plus it makes it a lot easier to get out of caves if you are lost. If you are on the fence I would say its worth the jump

I haven't found a ship worth salvaging. Bought one with 6 more slots than I started with, and can't afford a better one yet. Done okay with exosuit upgrades though, I'm on about 21 slots. Just look for drop pods.
And for anyone who hasn't found it yet, you can get a hell of a horizontal boost out of yer jetpack. Click R3 to go into sprint mode (no need to hold it down), and while you're running hit R1 (melee) just before you jump. Takes practice and results vary depending on the terrain, but you can really scoot along once you get the hang of it.

Had my first couple of hours on it last night and time flys by in this game. I'm some way behind you lot. I'm still flying the little ship, not enough cash to re invest in another, still in the same system.
Very enjoyable game so far.

Still not many hours under my belt so I’m still on my starting planet.
I found a better ship (though dog ugly) with a couple of extra slots but it comes with better equipped weapons, they need repairing mind but I can still fly around with the repaired drive, However I made a mistake as I didn't transfer my old ship’s cargo as I initially thought I could use the broken ship as temporary storage, so dropped some aluminium in there and boom it was mine… No prob I thought just need to find my old ship which I left somewhere but alas because the ships waypoint had been changed to the new one and as there is no way to easily re-trace steps by dropping beacons or even having any facility to map where I’ve been I’ve now given up, I did make over half a million by just pottering about looking for it so cutting my losses as I’ve made over the value of the lost cargo anyway.
Was about to head into space when I stumbled across a beacon that triggered a new waypoint showing that an intelligent life form has landed on the planet, so I’ll be checking that out first before leaving, it’s only a short 25 minutes flight away!
Like I said early days but enjoying it so far, trouble is time just fly’s by.

If you are on the fence I would say its worth the jump I've found quite a few crashed ships and everytime it has one inventory slot more than your ship. So I thought I'd use this as a way to get more inventory space on my ship without spending any units early on in the game. What you do is go to a signal scanner and search for a transmission tower. Go there and activate the number puzzle inside. It should give you a crashed ship location. I kept doing this on the same puzzle and found lots of crashed ships. I don't know if its meant to be like that or a glitch but its a time saver as you won't have to go and use another signal scanner to find another transmission tower. Anyway go to one of the ships and check it out. If it has 1 or more slots then swap over your ship to it. Keep going to the other ships and repeat. You only have to repair the launch thruster and pulse engine to get off the ground. So make sure you got lots of iron, some heridium and zinc plus plutonium and thamian9 to fuel them each time you swap ships. I did this and currently have a 21 slot ship and haven't spent any units buying one. It looks pretty ok too with a strange wing design. You can see it in the photo thread when I upload it.

Those of you who haven't warped to another system yet - save your game immediately before you do. There are stability issues, and warping between systems appears to be a popular time for crashing. It's happened to me.

It looks like a update is coming hopefully to fix the crashes I've been having lately. It was more stable before the patch for me. I hope they remove the need to have to constantly refill your life support and hazard protection. A auto refill would make the game more free to do the fun stuff and not constantly manage staying alive. Sean Murray tweet "Awesome day at Hello Games, we're going to make some people very happy with a PC and PS4 patch that's in test right now " Tweet
