A couple of new trailers. Just the top one would have me salivating if I hadn't already heard of the game before. I can't understand people not being excited by this, unless maybe they have wives to service and kids to feed.

New footage - 18 whole minutes of gameplay! Laugh as Sean Murray hogs the pad while IGN-man sits there wishing he could have a go:

Murray rambles on about the game's economy over a mix of footage (some old, some not). You can park in space watching craft zoom in and out of space stations - and there's crafting. And cretins spoon-fed on call of money franchises still moan that there'll be nothing to do in the game! Article.

Here are 41 amazing facts about the game not everybody's waiting for, including: - The game will be completely playable offline
- There are no cutscenes or characters
- You’ll find ancient artifacts and crashed ships
- Fly down to the night side of a planet, and you’ll find the land in darkness. Different creatures will be awake while daytime creatures sleep
- We’ve created special software that models throats, allowing animal calls to be defined by the shape and sizes of their bodies - every planet’s soundscape is unique
These are all good things. They will come to us, who wait.

It's the only game I'm anticipating. I can't think of any other upcoming game I have any interest in.

Without wanting to poor any water on these very hot coals, as clever and big and random that No Man‘s Sky is I can’t help thinking that after five or six hours the novelty will wear off.
Just my opinion I hope to be proved wrong.

I have a feeling that this will be out by Christmas. I think Sony will bung out a press release soon that'll say something like 'see that No Man's Sky? Well it's out next week'. I have no sources for this, it's just a hunch of my own based on Murray's behaviour on his recent telly appearance with that Colbert bloke. On all his appearances to date he's been all mumbly and shy as if he'd rather be away from the cameras working in his coding burrow. He was all confident last week, even a bit cocky, as though he was bursting to tell us all something great but wasn't allowed to.
Just you wait and see.

According to this article its going to be released on Paris games week, 27th October and some guys Amazon pre-order status that changed to that date. Rumour: Is Sony Preparing a Shock No Man's Sky Release?Maybe its got some truth in it because Sean Murray has been hyping up the game recently. I think its unlikely though. I think they will announce a release date but it won't come out until when playstation VR is out which this game will be a system seller for Sony. I hope I am wrong though for your sake 'Pigmagnet'. I like that your so optimistic for this game and your need for something to play.
