I had a whizz round the cosmodrome last night while waiting for the ESO patch to download. Got a green handgun that was better than my Hawkmoon, and a couple of armour bits were similarly upgraded. In about half an hour the only people I saw were a group of level 40s standing round doing nothing. For a brief period they shot some things that turned up. In this same period I somehow killed one of the 40s. Then they left and there was just me in the drome. Pretty much convinced me not to buy TTK.

I have finally got round to playing Destiny and spent the evening taking my Warlock through the House of Wolves which I completed. Lunch was spent starting TTK. I have gone from level 32 to level 37 in that time, but most of my gear is original, but I am using a 'blue' helmet and green 'chest and arms'. I have 169 light.
I must admit I'm not sure what way to go. Should I be using all the green or blue stuff, or stick with my raid gear? I'm still using my legendary weapons because I like them and they seem to smack down pretty much anything. I may have died once in all these missions, not even sure I have died that many times.
I'm assuming once I get to level 40 I will be able to start getting better gear, so I'm not that worried about it.
There are a number of changes that I'm getting used to. There seem to be less bounties now, and I'm not sure how to level the Queen or Eris (?) but I'm sure I'll work it out.
I'm enjoying a decent no-brain shooter, having had about 6 months off it

Ed, equip whatever gear has a higher value. Won't make massive difference till you hit level 40. Then it is all about light values and you will quickly find blues being better than the best raid gear.

Cheers. I may have to ditch my trusty scout rifle then. And does this mean I won't be using Ice Breaker or Gallajahorn that much now? Not dismantling them though!

Even if you do discard it, any exotic you have already had drop can be "bought" back - the drop of an exotic now unlocks its bueprint, and you can get the exotics for any weapon/armour you have a blueprint for at any point. You do have to upgrade them again, tho!

Also check out the gunsmith. Use his test weapons to gain rep once you are level 1you can order a weapon from him to pick up next week. Level 2 you can order 2 etc. guaranteed legendaries
