I'm not bored with it. I'm just disappointed with the game we got. Anyway lesson learned. I'm not waiting for more content because the game is not stable for me. I'm taking it to Cex tomorrow to get £31 back so I guess I got my money's worth.

£31? My local cex was only offering £26
I've recently been having a few wow moments, I don't know if it's just the system I'm in or the recent patch but the visuals seam to have stepped up a gear.

I'm taking a voucher because you get more than straight up cash. I'll use it for deus ex mankind divided.
Yes the temporal anti aliasing and cloud rendering they mentioned in the 1.03 update seems to be implemented in 1.07

Well, I just had a tremendous space battle saving a fleet of freighters from 22 pirates. I had to die along the way but stuck it out and triumphed.
For anyone wondering what the reward is for heroically and single-handedly protecting a fleet of freighters by shooting down 22 space pirates, it's this: a message telling me my standing with the Gek had increased.
Yes, it's the same reward you get for walking into a hut and talking to a frog with a clipboard.
Now I wish I had something else to play.

I didn't know the new Elite was on Xbox, someone should have shouted about that earlier, I may give it a go seeing as there's an xbox1 sitting unused in a bedroom somewhere. I'm veering towards there. I knew it was out but didn't pay much attention because I didn't have the box, and of course had high hopes for NMS. I don't particularly want to fork out for another console yet, but Elite looks like just the sort of thing I'm after and there's no date yet for the fabled PS4 one, as far as I can see. I'm hanging on for the Neo announcement and/or VR before I make any firm decisions, but it's looking possible that I might buy an xbox 1S next month. Mainly to play Elite, but the Forza games would probably fall into my shopping basket too. I also want a bike though, so I might just get one of those and go for a ride instead.

found myself on a grv-ball planet so started filling my pockets, the inevitable Sentinels came after me, I started taking them down eventually the big walkers apeared so delt with them too, now I have a full wanted level but all the Sentinels have dissappeared, is this a glitch? I'm able to collect and trade grav-balls to my hart's content, I'm making a fortune but the only thing left I've got to spend it on is trading for a bigger ship, oh well this way it will be quicker than finding and reparing wrecks.

I'm still enjoying nms though not sure how long my enthusiasm will last once I've got a full upgraded ship.
Btw is gold required for Elit?

Hello Games really need to say something... anything. Although I don't go there, apparently there have been no posts from their Twitter account for a month. I haven't seen any Murray interviews. Patch 1.09 has just been released, and like all the patches before it, there have been no release notes to tell us what it does. They could certainly learn a PR lesson or two.
Given that they were the biggest selling download in the month since launch, and given that they only have to share out the goodies between a dozen people as opposed to hundreds, they now can't be short of a bob or two. I'm sure they could afford a new member of staff to divert the flak or at least tell us what they're up to.

There were some patch notes somewhere, one of them was removing the stacking exploit for certain items that could be got by dismantling blue prints, (Not an exploit in my opinion but there you go) you can keep the stacks you already have so long as you don’t accidently delete it ie - always keep at least one item in the stack.
I’m still enjoying it, I’m on my way to the Platinum trophy to be honest that my only point of playing now, I’m rich beyond my dreams with nothing to spend it on, I’ve a 33 slot ship a gun with 20 slots and my backpack is the full 48, I really don’t need any more space, I just need to scan a few planets kill a few pirates and head for the centre.

I stick it on now and again but there's no incentive to go anywhere so I get bored sharpish.
I'll say one thing in their favour, though - about these endless whiners going on about 2 people at the same place who couldn't see each other. I can go to any social space in Destiny, or WoW, or any highly populated online game, and only see the small number of people who happen to have been allocated the same server as me. It's as though all these game 'journalists' have conveniently forgotten how instances work.

Hotting up now, with official complaints to Advertising Standards. They appear to relate directly to early promotional materials still being used on Steam, showing features that aren't there. I have to say if that's the case, the complainers have a point. This might actually get a response from Hello, who haven't said a word yet as far as I know. It they even just shrugged and said 'it's a fair cop' then that would be something. Then we could all just say 'alright then, don't do it again'. As big a disappointment as it is, I still got my money's worth. Down to £25 on Amazon.
