Including land vehicles, Pro support/4k, can visit other bases, and more. Certainly shaping up, but the one thing above all that it lacked for me, still isn't addressed - the fact that exploration doesn't throw up any surprises after a few hours. You know you're only going to get variations of the same old things. Still, there will be other updates, and perhaps one day it might end up the masterpiece it promised to be.

I gave the base building a try the other day, then asked myself what’s the point, after a lot off effort I can get NPC’s do my research and gather resources for me but why? It’s nice you can build instant beacons and save points and fast travel between home base and space stations but after a couple of hours I wasn’t enjoying it, so put the disc away to gather dust.

so put the disc away to gather dust. You need better storage if they gather dust like that. Buy one of those big aluminium lockable jobs. Or just close your disk cases.

I completely forgot to look at this update. Apparently you can now build racetracks, set a time in a nippy ground vehicle, then invite other peeps to have a go - via base sharing or something. I think I might have a look at this when I gets home. We know what racetracks mean, don't we children - this forum gets posts more than once a month!
And there's a new big patch oot today, I think.

Us Lucky folk with Xbox's “No Man’s Sky” and “Sea Of No Man’s Content” all in the same year. If I have another stab at NMS it will be a restart from the beginning.

I had a look a few weeks ago, it's improved muchly and I certainly haven't written it off yet. Even though it didn't live up to Hello's claims at launch I still got my money's worth of enjoyment out of it. It'll be interesting to see what exactly the mp elements are going to be. I don't like pvp in anything but I like big open-world games with real peeps in them, to interact with in some way if you want to or not. I'm sure there'll be dogfighting, but I'd be more interested in co-op stuff.

I'm a tiny bit jalousie that xbox get to experience this in such a good state from the off and not go through the pain.
I’m still on the fence as to whether to continue or start afresh, also if it’s any good I’m curious as to whether there is any performance advantage on the xbox x.
Any idea if old saves and earnt content such as money and ships will stay intact?

Have just found this..
"You can have multiple save files now so you can start fresh without losing your current data."
Sorted.

You’ve got be going now, I’ve nothing better to do at the moment than research into this.
There are benefits to starting again with new story lines and quests that have been added since release.
PvP will be possible if you actually come across someone, no idea at the moment if it will be possible to scan the universe for nearest player or base etc.. I can see this turning into an arcade Elite with better planet exploration, not entirely a bad thing depends on how they govern the looting, no one wants their base destroyed after spending several hours building it, I hope it’s not going to be Arc in space.
Mind you this is all pre-release hype we have been hear before, it’s probably going to be a lumpy slide show with endless server disconnects.

I'm definitely having another look. It might make all the difference if you see evidence of other humans in the universe. Not bothered about pvp and I hope it isn't forced on you.
